Secretary
Maia is of Ngāti Tūwharetoa, Te Rarawa and Ngāpuhi descent. She graduated from Otago University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) Degree and Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and Māori Studies.
In 2010 Maia won Te Hunga Roia Māori's National Mooting Competition, which was judged by Justice Joe Williams and Deputy Chief Judge Caren Fox. She was one of three students who mooted in Te Reo Māori. She was also a finalist in 2009.
Maia now works at Russell McVeagh in Wellington working in the Resource Management, Māori Legal and Litigation teams.
