Leon Wijohn - Treasurer

Leon is an accounting and advisory partner at Deloitte and leads their National Maori Sector Team supporting Iwi and Maori owned operations throughout Aotearoa.

Leon has over 20 years accounting and business experience. As Maori businesses are diverse, Leon has had a range of roles and assignments with large and small Maori organisations that have added to the knowledge, experience and relationships required to work with Maori effectively.  Before joining Deloitte as a partner, Leon had his own accounting and consulting practice.  Over the years Leon has worked for a number of accounting firms, including another big four firm.  Leon has also worked with the Ngati Whatua o Orakei Maori Trust Board for 5 years (18 months as Acting CEO). 

Leon is married with 3 children and enjoys managing or coaching sports teams that they are part of.
