Miaana Walden

Regional Representative - Te Tai Hauāuru (West Coast - North Island)

Miaana is an Associate at Govett Quilliam in New Plymouth. Miaana joined Govett Quilliam in November 2014 after completing her law degree and Bachelor of Arts (Māori) at the University of Otago. Her areas of expertise include Care of Children Act and Domestic Violence proceedings, general Family Court advocacy, dispute resolution, the application of Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993, including the establishment and governance of Māori land trusts, succession to interests in Māori land and providing general advice about Māori legal issues affecting individuals, whanau, hapu and iwi.

Miaana volunteers at the Citizens Advice Bureau in New Plymouth and she loves exploring the beauty that Taranaki has to offer. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, playing tennis, netball and running (preferably downhill and short distances).
